Snow on Mountain Rujiste [Part 1/2]: Lunch in the Snow House

I have wished it for for a long time now, and on March 1st we finally had some snowfall in this region. It all happened rather unexpectedly. My dad wanted to take me, my sister Jasmina and her boyfriend Amer out for lunch in a restaurant located on the mountain Rujiste. I have written and shown this place before, but to our surprise, as we drove up the mountain, the rain that was to be found within the city, had turned into snow and on the mountain top, a fresh dusting of snow waited for us.

On the Snowy Road

The drive up the mountain wasn't that long, but seeing all the snow on the road, wasn't thrilling regardless. We parked the car next to the motel and restaurant called "Snjezna Kuca", which translated means "Snow House". We ordered lunch and while we waited for it to be served, I stepped outside to take some shots of the woods that were surrounding this establishment.

Lunchtime

I managed to capture a few shots in the snow outside. I was completely unprepared, didn't cover my photo gear, but the woods were calling out to me a lot, so I had to be quick about it. Inside, lunch was already served. Jasmina ordered a filled chicken breast, Amer a succulent, thinly sliced and grilled liver filet, and dad and I ordered a grilled meat plate for 2. And yes, even 4 people could have eaten from it. You'll see the images below.

Everything tastes better in the mountains...

We had a great lunch here, and I would recommend this place, even though It's the only restaurant here, so you won't have other options anyway. But rest assured the food is great. Especially the grilled meat plate, my dad and I had. It came with grilled steak, chicken breast, sausages, cevapcici, on a bed of french fries that were soaked in all of those great juices from the meat on top. Plus you get some really great bread with it called somun.

After our lunch we went back outside. The ski lift wasn't operating because of the heavy snowfall. We marched bravely into the nature surrounding the Snow House, but more on that in the second part.
