Xiaomi has announced that it has set two new world records for wired and wireless charging. The company became the first to release 200W wired fast charging and 120W wireless fast charging.

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi posted its HyperCharge announcement on Sunday (May 30) across its social media platforms. Today, Xiaomi revealed its 200W wired charging rate, capable of fully charging a phone in an 8-minute world record. Meanwhile, its wireless charging rated at 120W was capable of juicing up its smartphone entirely in 15 minutes.

Xiaomi conducted its test on a custom-built Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro with a 4000 mAh battery. Watch Xiaomi's showcase video below.

The 200W wired charging charged the Mi 11 Pro to 10% in 44 seconds, 50% in 3 minutes, and 100% in 8 minutes.

Additionally, Xiaomi demonstrated the same smartphone via a 120W wireless charging dock. It reached 10% in less than a minute, 50% in less than seven minutes, and finally 100% in less than 15 minutes, which is already extremely fast.
