Peter Martell began his career in film as a stuntman and small roles as a character and supporting actor. He was scheduled to co-star with Bud Spencer in 1967’s “God Forgives… I Don’t”. Shortly before filming was to begin, he either kicked his bedframe or got into a fight with a girlfriend and broke his foot. He was replaced by Terence Hill. Later in 1969 again he was selected to co-star with George Eastman in 1970’s “They Call Me Trinity” the producers decided to replace both actors with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer. Later after his career hit the skids and he was living in a Volkswagen van and even attempted suicide. Thankfully the people of his hometown rallied around him and got him a state pension and a place to live. He made a few films afterward but true stardom had evaded him.
