Voices of the Spaghetti Westerns ~ Little Rita of the West

Hello friends TIMESSERAQUEEUTENHO, on this occasion the admin wants to share an article entitled Voices of the Spaghetti Westerns ~ Little Rita of the West, we have made good, quality and useful articles for you to read and take information in. hopefully the post content is about which we write you can understand. Alright, happy reading.

As we know most of the Euro-westerns were co-productions from Italy, Spain, Germany and France which incorporated British and American actors to gain a worldwide audience. The films were shot silent and then dubbed into the various languages where they were sold for distribution. That means Italian, Spanish, German, French and English voice actors were hired to dub the films. Even actors from the countries where the film was to be shown were often dubbed by voice actors for various reasons such as the actors were already busy making another film, they wanted to paid additional salaries for dubbing their voices, the actor’s voice didn’t fit the character they were playing, accidents to the actors and in some cases even death before the film could be dubbed.

I’ll list a Euro-western and the (I) Italian, (S) Spanish, (G) German and (F) French, (E) English voices that I can find and once in a while a bio on a specific voice actor as in Europe these actors are as well-known as the actors they voiced.

Angelika Bender  (1948 -    )

Angelika Bender-Willschrei was born in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. Bender made her debut as an actress at the age of eight in the film “Auf Wiedersehn am Bodensee”. After taking ballet lessons, she attended the New Munich Drama School, among others. She trained as an actress under Fritz Umgelter. Afterwards she appeared at various German theaters. Since 1960 she was seen in numerous television productions. She was also heard as a speaker in a large number of radio plays.

As a voice actress, her voice was best known for Marcy Rhoades-D'Arcy in the series “A Terribly Nice Family” and Carla Tortelli in the TV series ‘Cheers’. After the death of Elisabeth Volkmann, she took over the voices of Patty, Jacqueline and Selma Bouvier in the TV series ‘The Simpsons’. Bender can also be heard as Marge Simpson in a few episodes. These synchronizations arose between Elisabeth Volkmann's death and the takeover by Anke Engelke.

Angelika Bender was married to the screenwriter Karl-Heinz Willschrei.
