With the beginning of a New Year I like to revisit old places. This is the old town Trogir in Croatia. It’s a place where I have spent so many summers with family and friends, but during the winter season the place is deprived of people and crowds with the exception of the Christmas Market that is still open in January. The sights are cold and lonely, and it feels like you can sense the spirits of the past as you walk down the old cobblestones. Trogir is one of the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex not only in the Adriatic, but in all of Central Europe. Trogir is actually an island accesed by bridge. It’s main feature is the Kamerlengo Castle and the old town walls.
